All FleetX data is stored in the EU, encrypted in transit and at rest, and protected by industry-standard security practices. Full GDPR compliance as standard.

How we protect your fleet data

Security built in from the start - not bolted on afterwards

Data stored in Ireland

All FleetX data - vehicles, drivers, financial records, compliance information - is stored in the EU West (Ireland) region. It never leaves the EU.

Encrypted connections

All communication between your browser and FleetX is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Your login details and data are never transmitted in plain text.

Row-level security

Each account can only ever access its own data. Row-level security rules are enforced at the database level - not just the application layer - so data isolation is guaranteed.

GDPR compliant

FleetX is designed with GDPR compliance in mind. We collect only what's necessary, give you full control over your data, and have a clear data retention and deletion policy.

Secure authentication

User accounts are protected by Supabase Auth - industry-standard authentication with bcrypt password hashing, email verification, and JWT-based session tokens.

Secure payments

Billing is handled by Stripe - a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. FleetX never stores or handles your card details directly.

Data storage & residency

FleetX uses Supabase as its database provider, deployed exclusively in the EU West (Ireland) region. This means your data physically resides in Ireland and is subject to EU data protection law.

  • Database hosted in AWS eu-west-1 (Ireland)
  • No data replication to non-EU regions
  • Data encrypted at rest using AES-256
  • Encrypted backups retained according to our data retention policy
  • You can request full data deletion at any time

When you cancel your account, your data is retained for 30 days to allow for data export, then permanently deleted.

GDPR & your rights

As an Irish and EU-based service, FleetX is fully subject to GDPR. As a data controller for your account information and as a data processor for your fleet records, we take these responsibilities seriously.

  • Right to access - request a copy of all data we hold about you
  • Right to rectification - correct inaccurate personal data
  • Right to erasure - request deletion of your account and data
  • Right to data portability - export your fleet data in CSV format
  • Right to object to processing
